Double Chocolate Protein Brownies

The search for a lactose free, gluten free, egg free, soy free, grain free, all natural protein brownie recipe is over! If you are looking for something decadent yet healthy that you can enjoy during shark week, whip up this super easy recipe for a delightful treat! When I created this recipe I ended up with several versions one being a more cake like brownie and another being more fudge like. I’ve included them both here! You will find that the cake like brownies have slightly better macros for low fat protocols where the fudge like brownies are better for Keto plans. Enjoy!!



Ingredients:

Cake Like Brownie Recipe
7.2 oz. Unsweetened Apple Sauce
3.4 oz. Almond Butter (room temperature)
2.6 oz (~2 scoops) Gauge Life Whey Protein Isolate in Chocolate Flavor 1.0 oz. Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
0.8oz. Chocolate Chips
3 Packets Stevia or the sweetener or your choice (optional)

Fudge Like Brownie Recipe
7.2 oz. Unsweetened Apple Sauce
4.0 oz Coconut Oil (melted)
2.6 oz (~2 scoops) Gauge Life Whey Protein Isolate in Chocolate Flavor 1.0 oz. Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
3 Packets Stevia or the sweetener or your choice (optional)

Instructions:

1. Pre-heat oven to 350F
2. Add all ingredients to a medium mixing bowl accept the chocolate chips. Mix well with a spoon or hand mixer.
3. Lightly spray an 8” x 8” brownie pan with oil.
4. Using a spatula spread batter into the pan. Batter will be very thick and will need to be spread evenly.
5. Put brownie batter in oven for 20 minutes. Put a tooth pick in the batter to make sure the center of the pan is not still wet. Your batch may need more time depending on your oven.
6. Allow brownies to cool for 15 minutes before serving. Keep in a zip log baggie at room temperature for no longer that 48 hours. You can refrigerate them or freeze them if needed.
7. Makes 8 servings.
